No frills, but straight to the point.

Lessons learned in May

This is what the indie journey made me face during May.

Work and health

Distractions can easily mess up my schedule, but setting boundaries and sticking to them is challenging. The solution is a flexible schedule.

It’s important to balance work and rest. Taking breaks when I felt overwhelmed helped me stay productive.

Alohi

Working on the payment system took longer than I thought. I need to get better at planning (even for unexpected problems).

In the past, I was scared to talk to people. But having calls with beta users gave me great insights and feedback (and it’s been easy to do).

BlackTwist

Finding a name for this new tool for Threads was a win. Sometimes, I tend to do everything myself, but involving other people is a game-changer. Brainstorming together led to this good result.

Next goals for June

Alohi

  • Sell 10 subscriptions
  • Spin up the logo
  • Publish the landing page

BlackTwist

  • Sell the Lifetime Deal
  • Publish the website/landing page
  • Launch the app

Other activities

  • Send 4 newsletters for The Maker Journey
  • Don’t spend more than 1 hour/day on 𝕏

I have high expectations. Let’s see what happens.

Onward!
