If I were to start on Twitter from scratch

The other day, I exchanged opinions with a friend about standing out on Twitter by prioritizing relationships.

Many people would say find a niche and show expertise, but I’m the average Joe and have no niche.

If I had to redo everything from scratch, I’d (still) focus on mindfully growing relationships and friendships.

Making 10 relationships leads to 100 close connections = 100 true fans who support your work -> an audience of 1000 fans. You can do everything at this point in the journey.

While growing relationships seems generic advice, the idea is to behave like in our social lives. Support to be supported, show up often and talk publicly before jumping on DMs or calls—not before.

It takes time, but it’s the only way I know.
